Instructions to Use

Barley Roti (Jau Atta Roti) Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Barley Flour (Jau Atta)
  • ½ cup wheat flour (optional, improves binding)
  • 1–2 green chilies, chopped (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Warm water as needed
  • Ghee or oil for cooking

Instructions:

  1. Mix flours: Add barley flour and wheat flour (if using) to a bowl. Add salt.
  2. Add water: Pour warm water gradually and knead into a soft dough.
  3. Shape rotis: Divide into small dough balls. Roll each ball into a thin roti using dry flour for dusting.
  4. Cook: Heat a tawa and cook each roti on both sides until light brown spots appear.
  5. Brush with a little ghee or oil if desired.
  6. Serve: Serve hot with sabzi, dal, curd, or chutney.
